Kawarau Jetboat on Lake Wakatipu

Kawarau Jets big yellow boats leave every hour at the Main Town Pier in the centre of Queenstown. In an unforgettable jetboat experience you’ll be transported from the sophisticated downtown area into the channels of two of New Zealand’s most scenic rivers. Across the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu and through the tranquil beauty of the willow lined Kawarau River, the jetboat then speeds into the shallow, fast moving braids of the Shotover.

Dart River Jet Boat

The Dart River Safari: combines a 1 ½ hours jet boating, a 20-40 minute forest and nature walk, and 40-50 minute back road journey through Paradise. The Safari explores this area at a pace that will suit any visitor allowing them to easily reach areas which they may not normally venture into on their own. A short and easy bush walk, of 20-40 minutes, takes visitors through a wonderful example of the forests of the region.

TSS Earnslaw

Step aboard - watch the stokers fuelling the fireboxes and hear the sound of the steam engines working as the TSS Earnslaw takes you on a nostalgic cruise of beautiful Lake Wakatipu. Be transported in style on one of our regular departures to Walter Peak High Country Farm. As you relax on board enjoy delicious café style food or a drink from the bar.

Crossing Lake Wakatipu

Rippled Earth Kayaks: The island's on Lake Wakatipu have played a significant part in this area's diverse history. They are now an important natural reserve surrounded by the breathtaking mountainous backdrop of the Southern Alp's. Paddle to the Glenorchy Islands. This safari launches from either Little Stony Creek or Lake Face Creek near Glenorchy. The short paddle across the lake will take you to a secluded beach on either Pig or Pigeon Island.

River rafting

Rafting in Queenstown: the ideal place to meet the challenge of white water rafting. Experience an unforgettable adventure in breathtaking surroundings - as you raft surging rapids and idyllic river stretches. Choose the spectacular Shotover River in the famous Skippers Canyon, or the equally beautiful but more gentle Kawarau River.

Shotover Jets: Get ready for the World's most exciting Jet Boat ride! Acknowledged as the World's most famous Jet Boat operation, many imitate Shotover Jet – but for sheer excitement, no one comes close. Funyaks

Dart River Funyaks: Jet boat for 1¼ hours to the upper reaches of the Dart River, where visitors disembark and inflate their own canoe. After a full safety and paddling instruction, your Funyak journey begins. Paddle downstream on a glacier fed river amidst rocky peaks and dense rainforests. Enjoy a wilderness buffet lunch and explore the Rock Burn Chasm and ancient beech forests. Paddle to Paradise then transfer to an your back road coach for the return trip back to Glenorchy.
